Fritzing out

Modern devices are dropping like flies. In addition to the once-ultra-spiffy Macintosh G4 system which has never worked worth squat with Mac OS X and can't recover from a power outage without taking it apart (but runs Mac OS 9 just fine), other devices around here are rapidly dying. In the last month I've lost my laptop, one of my mailing list servers, my MIDI controller, a VGA monitor, a phone, a rack-mount multi-effects unit, and the right audio channel in my (still pretty new!) television.

Items I've replaced: MIDI controller. Remaining items I plan to replace: none.
