Oops

So, I've been working with computers and electronic gear professionally for about 15 years now, and before that as a student I certainly hung out with a fair bit of the stuff. And you know how everyone always tells you not to have food or drink around them because, you know, splopping an entre into a keyboard or dumping fruit juice into a computer it probably a bad thing. And I've never had any accidents, despite always having a beverage of some sort at the computer, frequently snacking there, etc. For years and years. And I'm commonly stepping gingerly over pets, around equipment and instruments, and trying not to trip over cables as I perambulate around the room while carrying edibles and potables. (Back in 1992 a cat destroyed my favorite keyboard by throwing up onto the numeric keypad, but I wasn't home and I didn't do it, so that doesn't count.)

Until today. When, for the first time, I spilled a tiny bit of coffee onto my keyboard because I sneezed right before I sat down at my desk. And it was my MIDI keyboard (a piano-looking thing) not a computer keyboard with letters.

And I feel horribly irresponsible.
