I never had a chance to meet Cary face-to-face, however during the mid to late 1980's when Hypercard was big, Cary would sometimes call me up for some perspective, a quote, an opinion, or a contact. The funny thing was that he was always 3 steps ahead of me in my thinking about where the technology could go, or how it could be applied.
There is one thing that is definitely rare about Cary Lu. In all his years of being in the technology industry, I have never heard an unkind word spoken about him. We will all miss him.
