Cary Lu
Remembered

I was deeply saddened to hear that the Earth had lost Cary Lu. While we only met a couple of times (during MacWorld shows), our brief discussions made it quite clear that Cary was truly knowledgeable about whatever struck his fancy, and had the rare gift of making that knowledge accessible to others. He was a true teacher and communicator. A great role model for technological times.

As a fellow journalist, I was never surprised to read an amazingly clear, informative article and jump to the byline to find out who had written it - and find Cary's name. His integrity, insight, understanding, lack of fear to tell the truth about what he thought about things - all these attributes are found in the best writers, and Cary had them all.

I know, in my heart, that he is now closer to the truth, which the goal of all scientists. Make the best of it, Cary. I know you will.

He was one of the good guys, in an industry woefully short of good guys.

We'll miss you, Cary.
