The HyperCard Mailing List

About the List -- The HyperCard mailing list is an unmoderated forum for the discussion of HyperCard, HyperTalk, and related technologies. As of June 1999, the list is managed by Paul Foraker and Jacqueline Landman Gay, two long-standing members of the HyperCard community. Paul handles technical issues; Jacque (pronounced "Jackie" or "Jack") handles issues regarding content and the "human" end of things.

In general, discussion can be as freewheeling and wide-ranging as participants desire. Advertising is prohibited, although short announcements of job postings and software availablility are permitted - just don't get carried away.

Subscriptions -- Send an email message to <hypercard-request@lists.best.com> with "subscribe" in the body line of your message. Unlike nearly every other mailing list in the known universe, the list by default assumes you wish to receive a daily digest of messages sent to the list rather than individual messages. To receive individual messages, put "subsingle" in the body of your message. To stop receiving messages from the HyperCard list, put "unsubscribe" in the body of your message.

If you're using a recent email client program, you should be able to use the links below to create preformatted subscription requests.
