Just read this morning about Cary's passing. It's not often that an individual can be so professionally accomplished and yet be so personable and so wonderfully helpful. Just through posts and e-mail replies here, Cary personally helped me weather what were probably trivial matters to him, but major computer crises to me. He was also a challenging and engaging conversationalist (poster?), and whether his opinion came down on my side or against, he never made it a personal matter.
Cary will be greatly missed, and I will honor his family's request to make a charitable contribution in his name.
