Cary Lu Remembered |
03-Oct-1997 I count myself among many people who were befriended by Cary Lu. I never met him in person, never even saw him, but he offered me considerable high quality help on a couple of computer issues over the last few years. Reading the tributes of others, I see that I was scarcely alone in this regard. It seems to have defined him. Quiet generosity coupled with great intelligence and an ability to see through the hype and go his own way. There is no one whose judgement about the future of computing I trusted more. I will miss him. |
