Cary Lu Remembered |
26-Sep-1997 I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of such a wonderful man. Although I have never met Cary Lu, he has left an indellible mark on me as a child. When the Macintosh was first available to the public, I picked up a copy of his 'red book' on Macintosh theory and organization. For a student in 4th grade, you might say it was heavy reading, but his presentation was so concise and conceptually complete that even I could understand it. I still value the book as one of my cherished posessions, hoping someday to meet him and have it autographed. I regret that I am too late. Every time I open the book, however, his spirit will be with me. |
